Descant joins connectivity executives representing local and regional broadband innovators
Descant joins a committee of nationwide executives consisting of innovative local as well as regional broadband providers. With a community-centered mission, USTelecom brings together broadband and technology innovators to create new opportunities to compete, grow and thrive through the power and promise of connectivity.
“We’re fortunate to have Josh as a vital voice as we advocate for policies that support the critical work REV Broadband undertakes, day in and day out, to connect Louisiana’s communities,” said Sally J. Aman, senior vice president of communications and public affairs for USTelecom – The Broadband Association.
“Joining this esteemed group of forward-facing, communications leaders is a distinction I’m grateful to fulfill,” said Josh Descant. “Louisiana’s communities deserve representation when it comes to internet access and it’s a deep privilege to not only support our people’s needs for modern day connectivity, but to similarly learn from other providers who are speaking up for their states’ citizens.”
Descant joins five recently appointed leaders as a member of USTelelcom’s leadership committee, rounding out a well-stocked group of tech executives representing 27 different providers serving 18 states’ rural communities during a time when the importance of connectivity remains at an all-time high.
